“It’s a high-exposure case, and our client thinks we should hire a big company.” Sounds sensible, but it really doesn’t stand up to scrutiny. Big companies make money through leverage—spreading tasks out to many less-skilled hands. Our model is different: we concentrate important creative work among a few highly skilled hands and focus on adding value. We handle volume by using the best technology and moving quickly. You don’t need a big company to serve a big case -- you need a good one.
Our focus is on providing creative consulting for Chicago trial lawyers here and wherever they need to be. We organize evidence, generate ideas, create graphics to explain complex technical issues, and use the best technology to deliver a powerful message. That includes providing firms with the means to use their own law firm staff for much of routine trial preparation and technical support. We step in only for the more specialized and creative part of the presentation – the part we do best.
We work most frequently in commercial, antitrust and patent litigation, although we are experienced with virtually every kind of lawsuit. We are lean, with low overhead and no “standing army” to feed. Our core team expands with skilled contractors to meet peak needs, such as the convergence of several large matters, and shrinks in between. You pay for the hours we work, period, with no mark-up on pass-through expenses. We stand behind that work and assure that you will pay only what you agree is fair value.
