Chicago Winter
Company, LLC

About Us:

As our name suggests, Chicago Winter Company was founded by Dan Winter to serve Chicago trial lawyers. Since 2004, our clientele has grown to cover most of the rest of the country—and sometimes the EU. Most of our work now comes from beyond Lake Michigan’s sunny shores, but Chicago remains in our name and in our hearts.

Our mission has always been to offer the legal community the very best in value-added trial consulting with an emphasis on producing memorable graphics and effective trial presentations.

Our People:

Chicago Winter Company was founded on the model of expertise-based team building, and the principle of holding “no standing army.” We staff matters with the right skills for a particular job: trusted employees, contractors and sub-contractors, bound by written agreements and decades of work together.

Dan Winter is a graphic designer specializing in trial consulting. He is skilled in theme development, data visualization, and technical illustration. As a writer, his credits include scripts for video and interactive briefs, opening statements and speeches, including a televised address given by the first President Bush. His experience spans decades from the first uses of computer animations in court, as in DuPont vs. Cetus, to the expanding role of demonstrative evidence, as in the Brand Name and AWP pharma cases and the World Trade Center insurance coverage cases. He has lectured nationally on applying creative methods to trial presentation and the use of technology in preparing for and presenting in court.
